De_script_ion
===========
SwithSnarf enables monitoring the Internet connection of any computer in a network established with a switch.
SwitchSnarf scans all working computers in the local network and identifies their MAC addresses, IP addresses and Computer Names (Hostnames).
The internet in/out going Internet connections of a computer can be monitored in cooperation with any network monitoring tool (sniffer) or the Nexeye Monitoring Enterprise.
No changes are required in the network setup and no additional software is needed on the computer that is monitored.

System Requirements
===================
Before you start you should check your system in order to ensure that that it fulfils the following
minimum system requirements:

• Operating System
o Windows XP Media Center Edition
o Windows XP Professional
o Windows XP Home
o Windows 2000 Professional
o Windows 2000 Server
o Windows 2003 Server

“Administrator” rights are required for installation and operation of nexeye© SwitchSnarf.

Although Nexeye© SwitchSnarf may be installed in older Windows versions (such as Windows 95/98/98SE/ME)
the programme will not run or function properly in these versions.

• Hardware
o Pentium 400 MHz or higher (Pentium III is the recommended minimum)
o 5 MB free disk space
o 64 MB memory
o 1024 x 768 monitor resolution
o At least one Network Card with promiscious mode support

Known Limitations
=================
* Only US Robotics 9010 Wireless network cards supported.

Removing Nexeye SwitchSnarf
=====================================
IMPORTANT NOTICE !
Uninstalling Nexeye© SwitchSnarf may permanently delete or corrupt these files. Make sure that a back-up
of these files have been saved before starting the uninstall procedure.

For uninstalling nexeye© SwitchSnarf go to Start -> Control Panel
Launch (double click) “Add or Remove Programs”
Browse and identify nexeye© switchsnarf [version number]
Click the “Remove” button.
Follow the instructions as they appear and nexeye© will be removed from your computer.
